Each week we have a mindful message that goes out with every order. This weeks quote is from Rumi, a Persian poet and Sufi master born 807 years ago in 1207, and is perhaps the greatest advice anyone could give.
'Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it.' Rumi
It is possible that none of us will ever know from where we truly came, or what we truly are, but if we could be anything then this quote is an inspirational start!
Perhaps we were born from love, as it is what we all most wish to have and to give and the greatest feeling that we search for. And if it is what we would most wish to be, then it is what we should aim for! We are, after all, the creators of our own reality, so what do we wish to see and be in the world?
I myself wish only to become more and more love. With love comes happiness, freedom, peace and content. If that is my ultimate state of being, then anytime I am not that is at my own expense. And if it is based on a state of mind rather than a physical reality, then the barriers to my own love are the barriers that i myself am choosing to place there.
If I wish to see and be more love, then it is up to me to remove the obstacles that are stopping me. I can do this by reminding myself that I am love, and responding with as much love as possible to every situation in my day and my life. And that means regardless of the situation, or the response with which I am met. I can only answer for myself, and I answer with love.
This is my intention. We would all benefit from more love in the world. Who would like to join me in starting the love revolution?
